Privacy Policy

1. Our approach to privacy

Abylora is an anonymous, open-source VPN project built so that we hold as little information about you as possible. There is no sign-up form: no email, no name, no password. This Privacy Policy explains what limited data is involved when you use the Service, why, and what rights you have. Abylora is maintained by the project’s contributors rather than a registered company; you can reach us at support@abylora.net.

2. What we do not collect

  • We do not ask for, or store, your email, name, or phone number.
  • We do not log your browsing history, DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic.
  • We do not keep activity logs that map an account to the sites or services you connect to.

3. What we do handle

a. Account number (access key)

When you create an account, a random account number is generated. It is the only identifier tied to your access and the credit balance attached to it. We store it to validate logins and apply credit.

b. Plan and credit balance

We store the plan you purchased and the remaining time/credit associated with your account number.

c. Payment data

Payments are made in cryptocurrency (currently USDT on the BNB Smart Chain) and processed through a third-party cryptocurrency payment processor. We receive a payment status and the amount needed to apply your credit; we do not receive card details. Blockchain transactions are public by nature. The processor handles your payment under its own privacy policy, available at payment processor privacy policy URL — to be added.

d. Technical and operational data

To run and protect the Service, our systems process limited technical data such as aggregate connection counts and security/abuse signals (for example, temporary rate-limiting data). This is used to keep the Service available and secure, not to profile you, and is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

4. Website data

The website is served via Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard request metadata (such as IP address) to deliver and secure the site. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. The site stores only your selected language preference locally in your browser.

5. Legal bases for processing

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we process the limited data above to perform our agreement with you (providing the Service) and on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.

6. Data retention

We keep account and credit data for as long as the account is active, and for retention period after closure — to be set afterwards, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Operational and security data is kept only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service (our payment processor and hosting/server providers) and only as necessary. We may disclose information if required by a valid legal order — but because we deliberately do not collect identifying information, the data we are able to provide is inherently limited.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because accounts are anonymous, we may be unable to identify your data without your access key. To make a request, contact support@abylora.net.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure and providers may be located in different countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one.
